Thank you for your interest and consideration of joining the Georgia Tech Staff Council. In the 2026 elections cycle, elected member nominations and committee member applications will be accepted beginning on April 2026.
There are 7 vacant elected member seats available in the 2026 elections:
- Academic Affairs: 1 vacant seat
- Administration & Finance: 1 vacant seat
- President: 3 vacant seats
- Research: 2 vacant seats

Staff Council Elected Membership Eligibility
- Must be an active Georgia Tech staff member
- Must be employed at Georgia Tech for at least one year – hire date no later than June 30, 2025
- Must commit to a three-year term beginning on July 1, 2026
- Must be self-nominated or nominated by a colleague
- Must discuss membership eligibility and service/time commitment with supervisor
- Must work in a unit that reports to one of the Institute’s four executive groups (Academic Affairs, Administration & Finance, President, Research) with a vacant Staff Council representative seat
Staff Council Committee Membership Eligibility
- Must be an active Georgia Tech staff member
- Must be employed at Georgia Tech for at least one year – hire date no later than June 30, 2025
- Must commit to a one-year term beginning on July 1, 2026
- Must submit an application, which will be reviewed and considered by each Committee Chair
