General meetings of the Council occur monthly on the third Thursday of the month. 

All staff members of the Institute may attend regular meetings of the Council but may not participate in discussion or voting procedures. Visitors will be acknowledged and given the opportunity to address the council at the end of each meeting. Visitor presentations at general meetings must be approved by the Chair and added to the meeting agenda in advance.

Nonmembers are welcome to attend all Staff Council meetings. Nonmembers who wish to address the Council will request permission to do so from the Staff Council Executive Committee prior to the meeting or from the presiding officer during the meeting.
