Job Summary

The Georgia Tech Women’s Resource Center advances gender equity across identities by cultivating opportunities for community building, transformative learning, collaborative leadership, and identity development for graduate and undergraduate women.

This position is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and evaluation for one or more Student Life Programs. Serves as a campus agent in promoting programs and coordinates student involvement and support for those opportunities. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: student, parents, faculty members, representatives of community organizations. This position typically will advise and counsel: students and campus representatives. This position may supervise: students, interns and staff.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Provides administrative leadership and support services for one or more unique Student Life Programs. Advises student programs, organizations and groups.


Job Duty 2 -
Oversees all administrative aspects of the program including budget development, office resources, records management, etc. Responsible for project direction, coordination, planning, design, and management.


Job Duty 3 -
Participates in creating assessment tools and evaluates program initiatives.


Job Duty 4 -
Serves as a liaison between staff, faculty, and the community.

 

Job Duty 5 -
Develops and conducts workshops in area of expertise. Provide advice and support to faculty and staff members in service learning or co-curricular programs.Provide resources and training for students related to safety and liability issues involved in programming.


Job Duty 6 -
Writes and disseminates material to assist students in making informed decisions and/ or explain university policies and procedures.


Job Duty 7 -
Participate in recruitment, selection, and formal leadership training of student leaders.


Job Duty 8 -
Develop marketing and promotion student programs.


Job Duty 9 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires the ability to work independently; excellent communication skills (verbal and written); proven project management experience and organizational skills; ability to multi-task with multiple deadlines; basic knowledge of office related computer applications.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Master's Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Overnight travel requifeed for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours degree in Higher Education/Student Affairs or related (due to client shift schedules, project requirement.) 

Required Experience
Four to six years of job related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with student information systems for higher education (ie Banner)

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree in Higher Education/Student Affairs
